Ken Karlewicz: Working on the Railroad
Friday, Dec. 7, at 10:30 p.m.
Repeats Saturday, Dec. 8, at 4:30 a.m.
Sixty-year-old Ken Karlewicz, a window washer by profession, is also a skilled photographer and a builder of model trains. In this program, we learn about the man’s passion for vintage model railroads because they take him away from the mundane and into a world of their own.
The program follows Karlewicz as he travels around looking at what he has wrought, and meeting up with model railroad men around the county and upstate. An intriguing part of the film is an “operating session,” in which five of his friends come to spend a day and night at his house “running” the railroad.
