Passport Fair
May 21, 2009
Travelers are required to present a passport when traveling to and from Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean beginning June 1, 2009. To assist Americans in meeting this deadline, the U.S. Postal Service and Western Reserve Public Media held a Passport Fair on Thursday, May 21 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the television station’s offices in Kent. This event was open to the public and allowed community members to have their passports processed and certified by trained U.S.P.S. staff before the applications were sent for approval. The U.S.P.S. collected fees, processed the applications and even took passport photos when necessary.
