What to Do With a Shrinking City?

This taped program let viewers follow Kent State Graduate students and staff members from KSU’s Urban Design Center as they conducted a weekend urban design charrette concentrating on Youngstown’s lower south side neighborhood. The students created their designs through numerous conversations with current residents & the knowledge that the neighborhoods population would remain the same or even decrease in the future. The designers are taped from their tour of the neighborhood early Saturday morning through the presentation of their designs to residents on Monday evening.
